Review: Age of Empyre

Age of Empyre Age of Empyre by Michael J. Sullivan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First, thank you Michael J. Sullivan. You are truly a wonderful human being and have written some of the fiction that I have loved the most.

Those of you that know me, know that I love well-written universe. A universe in which the land itself helps to tell the story of a book. I love stories in which characters learn and grow throughout the book. I love characters where more than just one or two characters have depth. If you have read my reviews of Michael's other works, you know that I believe that his stories have those qualities in abundance.

Characters: 5*
Universe: 5*
Plot: 5*

The depth and complexity of these characters are amazing. They grow, they learn, they change. One moment, a character is a hero, the next a villain. Real life is not simple and the characters and their relationship to the plot points are not simple in this series.

I could go on and on in this review, but at some point, the words I use become repetitive. If you have not read this series of novels and you enjoy a well-crafted story, you owe it to yourself to start now.
